The Querini Stampalia Foundation is among the oldest Italian cultural institutions. Since 1869 we have promoted “the cult of good studies and useful disciplines”, with a curious gaze and a passion for the future.

Since 1869 we have promoted “the cult of good studies and useful disciplines”, with a curious gaze and a passion for the future.
Fondazione Querini Stampalia launchesA Wonder Poster (OOH), an Out of Home advertising campaign that brings eight essential and direct messages to Venice. These statements blend the authentic Venetian language with an international sensibility, offering a first glimpse into the Foundation’s new direction. Each poster acts as a fragment of a larger narrative that unfolds through the urban landscape—crossing calli, slipping into hidden corners, reflecting in the canals—boldly and wittily announcing the transformation underway.
The campaign’s design, aligned with the new brand identity, follows a strict visual grammar: white background, a new institutional typeface, and the symbolic date—May 5, 2025.
The chosen phrases evoke the core concepts of this transformation. Òeee, the typical call of gondoliers, signals a turn, a change in direction, just before taking the lead and emerging with the majestic elegance of a gondola. Duri i banchi and Oro benon convey the solidity and positive energy of Querini. More vardime is a call for more attentive and conscious observation. Bea come el sol celebrates light and renewal, while Co rivo rivo suggests a natural, determined, and unforced momentum. Alongside these, two broader declarations emerge: A Wonder Booster, inspired by Director Cristiana Collu’s manifesto and encapsulating the vision of the new Querini, and Hold on, we’re comin, a message anticipating the imminent change, quoting the iconic Sam & Dave song.
A Wonder Booster was the starting point and core inspiration for this campaign—a vision statement that has become a concrete sign, a clear horizon, and a date to mark. May 5, 2025, is when Fondazione Querini Stampalia begins its new chapter.
Supporting the campaign are two videos and a photo series that document the spontaneous interaction between the city and the posters, turning the billboards into a collective story that accompanies the Foundation into its new cultural and exhibition season.
